Francisco Javier Gómez Noya (born 25 March 1983 in Basel, Switzerland) is a Spanish triathlete.
He was born in Switzerland, but when he had only three months of life he came to Spain with his family,their parents Francisco Javier and Manuela, and his brother Rafael. Now he lives in Ferrol, Galicia.
Javier began the world of the sports practicing swim in the club of his village, but when he had 15 years of age, he decided to start to practice Triathlon, with the same coach of the team of swim, Jose Rioseco. However, even now still competing in swimming mode in Galicia.
When he had 16 years of age, i9n one consentration with the Spanish Team of Triathlon, the doctors of the team detected a problem in his heart. However he continued compiting.
Profecionally, Noya was Gold in the World Triathlon Championship sub-23 in 2003, Gold at the European Triathlon Championships 2007, Gold in Triathlon World Cup in 2006 and 2007, Silver in the World Triathlon Championships 2007 and Gold in Triathlon World Championships 2008. Also participated in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in which finished fourth after being overtaken in the last minute.
